With spring cleaning season here, Dunelm’s Coastal Stripe Shoe Storage Box is helping shoppers organise their footwear collections with its collapsible design and shoe inserts
With spring practically upon us, Dunelm customers have been rushing to purchase one £18 item specifically that’s intended to maintain your footwear neat and organised. Extensive shoe collections can frequently cause clutter, which is why it’s essential to buy storage for those shoes we tend to wear seasonally, like winter boots.
This Coastal Stripe Shoe Storage Box has received a 4.7 out of 5 rating in customer reviews and features shoe inserts to keep your footwear orderly. The container arrives in a coastal stripe pattern and is foldable to conserve space, with handle loops for convenient carrying.
On the Dunelm website, the complete product description states: “Keep your footwear neatly stored in this collapsible shoe storage box. Featuring a sturdy frame and striped fabric design, it’s the perfect blend of style and function.”
If you’re looking for a bigger storage ottoman, Dusk is additionally offering this Soho Rectangle Ottoman Storage for £179. It’s available in four different shades crafted in a linen material with understated piping detail for a “contemporary” and “classic” aesthetic.
Meanwhile on Wayfair, this Reyaan Standard Ottoman has been discounted to £34.99. Customers have been commending the ottoman for being “elegant” in its appearance, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Returning to the Dunelm reviews for the ottoman, one customer commented: “Brilliant way to organise shoes and reduce space wasted with lots of messy boxes!”.
Another review stated: “Fits perfectly into my wardrobe and so easy to choose what shoes to wear now. Great value for money. Love it.”
A third enthusiast remarked: “I love these boxes. They hold more than you think too!”.
A fourth buyer commented: “Looks good but also provides organised storage for your shoes. A good way to keep shoes tidy.”
Yet not everyone was quite so taken with the ottoman’s design. One review stated: “I thought these looked good and would be so useful – I ordered two, which sadly were both faulty when they arrived so I shall return them.
“To be honest if they were not faulty I may not have kept them anyway, for two reasons: Firstly the inserts are not fixed, but move about, so if for instance they were half full (or less) they would be awkward to use.
“Secondly, the zip of the lid doesn’t move smoothly around the corners which is very fiddly – I imagine they might easily break. Such a shame…a little more attention to detail needed Dunelm.”
