Day two of Cheltenham produced hundreds of stylish outfits as Ladies Day was attended by members of the royal family and everyday racegoers

The Cheltenham Festival is in full force and on Wednesday, thousands attended Ladies Day in Gloucestershire with some unique and colourful outfits on display.

One racegoer was crowned Best Dressed at the festival, with medical secretary, Megan Cunniss, winning the award for her elegance. The 29-year-old, from Galway, revealed that she designed her own outfit and had a “good feeling” with her garments.

“It’s my first time at Cheltenham. I used to always watch it on the telly, and now I’m here. I designed the outfit myself. I don’t know exactly how much I spent on it, but a lot.

“My husband draws up my designs. We work with a manufacturer in the Middle East, and he makes all our outfits. “I’m coming to Cheltenham on Thursday, too. Me and my husband were arguing, because he thought I should’ve worn my other outfit today, but I had a good feeling about this one today. I really loved it.

“Even without the Best Dressed it was a special day. I’m happy with the Best Dressed title and I’m thrilled with the prizes.”

There were hundreds of well-dressed racegoers on Wednesday. Here, Mirror Sport takes a look at some of the eye-catching outfits from Ladies Day…
