A man who ran over and killed a pensioner was marched back to crash site in tears by his own mum.
David Brown was speeding in his BMW while running late to have tea at his mum’s house when he collided with 81-year-old pedestrian James Atkinson, who was walking to attend band practice at a nearby social club. The trumpet player was left with “catastrophic” injuries and died in hospital two days later.
