If you’re looking for the perfect dress to take on holiday, Kate Garraway wore a lime print midi dress on Good Morning Britain that is a suitcase must-have – and it’s on sale

When you’re packing for holiday, there’s nothing better to have in your suitcase than a midi dress. It takes up minimal space, and it means you’ve got an instant outfit with minimal effort or worrying about making sure it matches anything else.

Whether you’re looking for something to wear for lunch, need an easy throw-on look for a spot of sightseeing, or want something you can dress up a little for the evening, a midi dress is the ultimate suitcase staple. And one we’ve found that ticks all these boxes is Karen Millen’s Lime Print Cotton Midi Shirt Dress which we spotted on Kate Garraway.

Birkenstock sandals are a summer wardrobe staple and they just got slashed by £100

Kate wore hers whilst presenting Good Morning Britain last week, and as soon as we saw it we knew it would be perfect for an upcoming getaway. Clearly we weren’t the only ones, as the dress is selling out in most sizes quickly as fashion fans race to snap it up for their holidays. We also suspect its current sale – which has 15% off with the code KMEXTRA15 – is partly responsible, as it means the dress is slashed from £149 to £126.65.

If you have missed Kate’s exact dress, you can still buy a halterneck version in the same print which is perfect for staying breezy abroad. Kate’s exact dress has short sleeves and a button up shirt-style silhouette, which is perfect for something a little smarter that you could just as easily wear to dinner as you could to the office back home.

The halterneck version however has a sleeveless halterneck neckline with a fitted waist and flowing midi skirt. Both dresses come in a beautiful bright blue shade with green limes printed all over it for a tropical, Mediterranean look, and they’d be just as at home in a garden party or summer wedding as they would on holiday.

If your size has sold out in either of the dresses, we found some amazing alternatives on the high street. At New Look, the Petite White Fruit Print Slit Hem Midi Dress is now £20 down from £34.99, and has a flattering sweetheart neckline, puff sleeves and an empire line fit.

Never Fully Dressed, meanwhile, has the Fruit Stamps Remi Dress for £129 which is still in stock in sizes six to 28. If you prefer a shorter hemline, Nobody’s Child’s Palermo Linen Blend Sleeveless Shift Mini Dress is now £43.99 down from £59 and is perfect for breezy holiday days.
