Fans have praised the muscle and joint rub hailing it ‘miraculous’ and a ‘wonder cream’
Runners and sports fans alike will know all too well the frustration of joint pain hampering a workout or all-important training session. While aches can often linger putting an end to optimum performance, runners and exercise lovers alike are raving about a fast-acting product that’s been clinically shown to deliver joint and muscle relief in as little as half an hour – and it costs less than £15.
The product in question is Actimas Celafen which can be purchased via Amazon for £14.95, and the clever rub is said to help reduce stiffness and soreness, enabling users to move more freely. Now, a former ballet dancer and marathon runner has praised the product, saying they ‘noticed a difference almost instantly.’
Nick Kimberley, 33, says: “I grew up as a dancer and after years of professional ballet I started to develop joint problems in my mid 20’s. My first point of call was paracetamol.
“During the height of my marathon training my knee joint pain was becoming more and more of an issue. My worst flare up was about six weeks before I ran the London marathon. I had just finished a 30km long training run and my knees were destroyed; I spent the next couple of days unable to walk due to the pain.
“I’ve always been very fit and active since I was young and I’ve often felt really quite invincible, so when I developed this joint pain issue that started to prevent me from training or at times even walking normally, it made me feel physically vulnerable for the first time in my life. I was amid my marathon training and nothing I was using to ease my knee pain was working, and I read several reviews on Celafen from other athletes and people who were doing a lot of sport like me, and they were saying remarkable things about it.

For the uninitiated, the clever product uses Celadrin – a patented fatty-acid complex – which according to Celafen’s Skin Shop Amazon listing is ‘proven to improve flexibility and reduce joint and muscle pain faster than conventional creams.’
The anti-inflammatory rub works by lubricating cell membranes and repelling inflammatory chemicals that cause reduced mobility as well as stiffness, something athlete Nick felt the effects of ‘almost immediately.’
The runner continued: “The main thing that appealed to me was that it claimed to lubricate the joints and prevent stiffness, which was one of my biggest issues with my knees, rather than simply just kill the pain. I have to say I was surprised when I noticed a difference almost instantly.
“After several weeks of using Celafen I felt stronger in my joints, I was using it for my knees and ankles and felt that the usual pain I felt after running was significantly improved. I was no longer taking days to recover from a run; in fact, I was feeling great afterwards. I had never got this kind of result from any other treatment for joint pain that I have tried to date.”
Those seeking alternatives may wish to check out the Weleda Arnica Muscle Soak Bath Milk 200ml from Boots for £16.25. Bringing relief for ‘tired bodies’ the bath soak combines the natural power of arnica with rosemary and lavender essential oils to soothe tired aching muscles.
Meanwhile, at Holland & Barrett, the BetterYou Magnesium Gel costs £9.71, cut from £12.95. Ideal for relieving muscle tension, it also claims to support bone and skin health.
Nick isn’t Celafen’s only fan however, as reviewers have left the product rave reviews at Skin Shop. One said: “Excellent cream, used it for years, couldn’t walk without it.”
Meanwhile, another who also left a five star review raved: “Excellent product, takes away 85% of the pain in my knees.” A third praised the product as a ‘wonder cream’ writing: “Wouldn’t be without my wonder cream. It helps my creaking knees and keeps me moving.”
It is worth noting that one user was displeased with the price tag and deducted a star, saying: “Great product. Only downside is the price.”
Despite this, another liked the formula, commenting: “This has really helped with my joint pain, nothing else has worked as well as this, it also sinks into the skin well and doesn’t leave any stickiness on me.”
A further reviewer hailed the product ‘miraculous’ writing: “I simply could not be without Celafen. I use it on my shoulders, as have had a lot of problems with tendons and ligaments in the past.
“My problems are in the past thanks to this miraculous product. I will always be grateful, it keeps me pain free and with a full range of movement.”
