Adding these three tools into my skincare routine has massively helped with inflammation, spots and signs of ageing

Technology is now a huge part of the beauty skincare world, as LED light and microcurrents help tighten the skin and give a rejuvenated look. In the last year, I’ve added three new devices to my stock and have seen great differences.

My newest addition is the Magnitone Pebble Pro, a tiny device that’s less than £90, which has helped with my hormonal acne inflammation and scars. From the same brand, the LiftOff Micro Device is great at getting into the grooves of the chin and cheekbones, using electro-microcurrents to define features over time.

A third device I use is the GET Lit Tri Colour Mask – which I’ve found easiest to add to an everyday routine. I’ve found it helps even out skintone. Below is a full round-up of the three beauty tech devices and how each one tackles a different problem.

LiftOff Micro Facial Device – for a tighter jawline and chin

The £90 Lift Off device uses microcurrents to give an at-home toning and tightening facial. It helps firm the skin by stimulating the facial muscles.

This is the most effective device for face toning out of the three I’m writing about, as it fits in the groove of the face, like the cheekbones and jawline, better. I’ve used this for more than a year, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in my jawline – giving a natural chiselled look without any injectables – no filler or fat dissolvers.

Pebble Pro Toning Device

The LED and microcurrent device helps tone the face, tighten skin, and boost circulation. A non invasive option for skincare fans who don’t want to use injectables like botox and skin boosters.

Toning and sculpting are common benefits of non-injectable devices, and the alternative NuFace Trinity tool offers them too. Priced at £385, it’s an option for frequent beauty-tool users looking for a more professional option.

The only downside is the lack of LED light, which makes a huge difference (and almost instant for me) to skin brightness and can help with textured skin. So if shoppers have a choice, I’d buy a combined LED and microcurrent tool over this one.

Magnitone Pebble Pro – helps acne look less angry

Similar to the above LiftOff device, but with the added skincare boost of red and blue LED light therapy. The £89.99 Pebble Pro helps sculpt, tone, and lift.

This is the newest of the three devices. I’ve used it for a little over eight weeks now, but my favourite feature, and most effective, is the blue LED light. This is helping clear my stubborn acne scars and inflammation.

Helped by its teeny size, it’s the easiest of them all to pop into my make-up bag, which makes it not only handy but also helps me stay consistent with it. It’s a similar size to the Foreo Bear 2, a rival device that is said to help with lymphatic drainage and puffiness, too.

In my recent review, I highlighted the difference it’s made to my skin: “I get hormonal acne around my chin and jawline, this blue light has helped reduce the look of scars, and my monthly spots are so much less angry.”

Of course, with my acne being hormonal, it doesn’t, however, stop the root cause, but it’s been an effective tool for reducing the size and inflammation overnight. I find myself waking up with easier-to-cover spots.

GET Lit Tri Colour Face Mask – for glowing skin

This LED mask from Magnitone is a budget option when compared to the likes of the Shark Cyro Glow, which costs £299 and is loved by Head of Beauty Zoe for its cryo pads under the eyes and short treatment times. However, I’ve found the Magnitone mask has worked great for its price point.

For £75, there’s one main reason I’d buy it – its glowing effect. A huge perk as we enter the warmer months, the yellow LED light gives my skin a radiant glow.

This isn’t something I do every day, but instead a few days before an event or holiday. In my full review, I highlighted how it gave me a ‘less dreary, healthy-looking tone’ – ideal for a confidence boost when out and about.

However, it is bulky; it’s not something to pop into an overnight bag or take on a trip. For consumers more interested in something portable and packable, I’d recommend the Pebble Pro. Even if shoppers weren’t a fan of the microcurrent, they could use the LED red and blue lights on their own for holidays.
