Affordable, flattering and perfect for the heatwave, Michelle Keegan styles three co-ords for day wear

If there’s one woman who knows a thing or two about good co-ord, it’s Michelle Keegan. The actress has been on her socials this week shouting about some of her favourite two-piece outfit picks that feel breezy in the heat, but are also appropriate enough for daywear, not just on a beach.

Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-one pens: “Every day was a new co-ord, and how lucky am I that they’re all from my collection? Which one is your fave?”

Starting off strong, Michelle showcases a red pair of trousers and a top coordinate that could be styled for office wear. From her Very collection, the Asymmetric Linen Blend Halter Co-Ord Waistcoat, £40, and matching Co-ord Trousers, £35, are made from a linen blend fabric that feels cool in the heat. The bright cherry shade is also a top hue for summer, so you’ll be sure to rewear this well into the next season.

I found the best curve friendly co-ords to wear this summer including Scarlett Moffatt’s favourite

The star then shares herself wearing the Palm Print Co-ord Longline Bandeau top, £35, and matching Wide Leg Trousers, £35. With the boho trend making a strong return for the summer months, and festival season just around the corner, it’s the perfect buy for both daywear and a day event. The fabric is also 55% linen, making it very breezy for warm weeks.

Finally, Michelle spotlights the gorgeous Printed Co-ord Longline Cami Top, £35, and matching Wide Leg Co-ord Trousers, £35. Again from her summer Very collection, the white and rust-red two-piece works perfectly over a swimsuit or a bikini, but can also be made to look appropriate for daytime and weekend wear away from the beach.

If you’re shopping around for other heatwave style buys, our fashion writer Faith has been putting four of her favourites to the test this week. She’s put Figleaves Sticker Print Beach Shirt and Short Co-Ord Set, £40, to the test and calls it great for sweaty days like the ones we’re experiencing this week.

Available in sizes 10 to 28 it’s got an inclusive sizing range, although Faith suggests sizing up if you prefer a more relaxed, loose-fitting feel as the shorts are slightly snug around the waistband.

She also recommends Saint + Sofia Linen Boyfriend Shirt, £109, and Saint + Sofia Linen Corinne Trousers, £99, saying: “This co-ord has been a staple in my wardrobe for over a year now, and it’s had plenty of wear whether I’m on holiday or at home. It’s made from 30% linen and 70% viscose, with this material combination making it breathable and light, whilst also wrinkling less than 100% linen would.”
