A 32-year-old man has died after a Porsche slammed into a car in Sheffield, with the collision leaving a second man, 26, with serious head injuries

A man has died after a Porsche slammed into another car in Sheffield, leaving a second passenger seriously injured.

South Yorkshire Police were called to the scene on Savile Street East at 10.40pm on Friday, April 24. There, a black Porsche Cayenne was travelling away from city when it crashed into a Seat Ibiza. The force the driver and passenger in the Seat suffered minor injuries, and have been assisting the police in their investigation.

However, the two men inside the Porsche, aged 32 and 26, suffered serious head injuries. Sadly, the 32-year-old man died today, reports Yorkshire Live. The 26-year-old man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have now launched an appeal for anyone who may have information or footage of the incident to come forward.

“Following a collision overnight, a man has sadly today (25 April) died and we’re urging any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come and assist with our investigation,” South Yorkshire Police said in a statement.

“Last night (24 April) at 10.40pm roads policing officers responded to Saville Street East following reports of a collision involving two vehicles. It is understood that a black Porsche Cayenne was travelling along Saville Street East away from City when it has collided with a Seat Ibiza.

“The driver and a passenger within the Seat suffered minor injuries and are co-operating with our officers’ enquiries. Two occupants of the Porsche, a 32-year-old man and a 26-year-old man suffered serious head injuries.

“Sadly, the 32-year-old man died today, and our thoughts are with all those who loved him. The 26-year-old man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the collision or vehicles prior.”
