The Wylder Birdie Stripe Duvet Cover Set by Furn has been reduced in Amazon’s Spring Deals Day event but there’s not much time left to get it
A crisp white duvet spread always manages to brighten up a room and make it look smart, sophisticated and oh-so-elegant. And while I can appreciate the aesthetic, I’m more of a colourful yet quirky kind of interior decorator and much prefer a patterned and vibrant bed set that adds personality and character.
One particular design I’ve had my eye on for quite some time is the Furn Wylder Birdie Stripe Duvet Cover Set in the green and blush pink hue that adds a certain whimsy to a space with its frilly edges. Sadly, I’ve not been able to justify the purchase just yet, as, for a king-size, it currently retails at £46 on the likes of Dunelm. While that’s not extortionate, it’s not exactly cheap.
But in Amazon’s Spring Sale event, this duvet set has just been slashed in price to less than £30 from £57, making it a little less painful a purchase. Now costing £28 – the lowest price it’s been in a month – the kingsize set brings timeless British heritage charm into a bedroom with delicate ruffle trims and classic jagged stripes on both sides. Made from a rich 180 thread count cotton, it’s said to have a soft, cosy and breathable finish that makes getting 40 winks a delight.
The Furn. bedding, which is reversible having stripes on both sides, comes in a range of colours and sizes (single to super king, although not all are on sale), so for those who aren’t too enamoured by the pink and green combo, it’s also available in butter yellow, ideal for spring, green, burgundy/pink, blue/yellow, and pink (of two shades).
For those who’d rather avoid stripes, Marks and Spencer has a gingham design that oozes cottage core and comes in a natural, beige hue as well as green. The bedding set – made up of a duvet cover and two pillow cases – also comes with ruffle edges and ranges in price (dependent on size) from £39.50 to £69.

If something a little less eye-catching is more the style, Dusk’s Marion 200 Thread Count Ruffle Edge Duvet Cover is on sale for £22, down from £42, in its king size and has a bright ecru colouring with ruffled edges, adding lovely textured contrast.
The Furn bedding set, from Amazon, also comes with two pillow cases as well as a duvet cover and has received high praise from shoppers who have snapped up this deal, with a 4.1-star rating overall. One such Amazon fan said: “The duvet cover looks just like the photos, soft, well-made, and the pattern adds a lovely touch to the room.
“The colour is lovely and exactly what I was hoping for. It fits perfectly and feels comfortable.” They did warn future shoppers of its delivery and said: “My only concern is that it arrived in just a plastic cover with no extra packaging, which could have left it vulnerable to damage during delivery. Thankfully, it arrived in good condition.”
Another complimented it simply and said: “Perfect, perfect, perfect,” while another said: “Lovely quality and super cute design.”
Someone else noted: “Lovely bed set. Great quality and half the price that I saw the same item advertised elsewhere.” For some users, however, the colouring of the bed sets wasn’t quite as expected, with one shopper leaving a four-star review.
It read: “This feels like really nice quality bedding, and the frill is a cute touch. The only reason for knocking off a star is the colour. I realise different screens have different results, but the colour is rather dull, more beige than the buttery colour I had expected. It’s still nice though, and I’m keeping it.”
