I put the ‘game changer’ sleep patches to the test to see if I could get a better night’s sleep
I know I’m not the only one who struggles to get to sleep at night and then pays the cost the next morning when waking up is a drag. Late nights lead to early evening naps, which lead right back to late nights… it seems like an endless cycle.
When I heard there might be a solution to help, I jumped at the chance to try it. The Sleep Time Patches from Kloris piqued my interest as they’re formulated to support rest naturally without pharmaceuticals – and I’ve always been hesitant to take sleeping pills.
The patches themselves are easy enough to use, simply place them on an (ideally not hairy) part of your body about 30 to 90 minutes before you want to sleep. They need to be pressed onto the skin to activate them, with it being recommended to inhale the lavender scent, the body’s natural heat then makes the patch deliver the ingredients throughout the night to get a good night sleep.
Inside the patches are a variety of ingredients designed by plant scientist for that purpose. Some of these include valerian – with studies suggesting it can help people fall and stay asleep in adults and children with insomnia. Meanwhile, passionflower appears to lower brain activity with compound gamma-aminobutyric acid, some studies say.
I’ve tried a myriad of things to help me get to sleep from magnesium supplements, which I’ve not found to do much, sleepy teas (£2.38) and Lush bath bombs (£5.50). I’ve also stopped having caffeine after 11am but I’ve found this last month I’ve been sleeping better than ever.

The Kloris Sleep Time Patches contain a blend of valerian root, passionflower, Hops, CBD and CBG.
The Kloris patches come in three sizes: 12 nights for £16, 30 nights for £36 and 90 nights for £97 – although when subscribing there is a discount available. This brings the 30 nights down to £29.52, which works out to 99p-a-night.
However, shoppers can get the patches for 20% off using code sleeptime20 before May 31. This brings the price of the 30 day box down to £28.80, making it 96p-a-day. Also, Kloris say try it for 30 nights and if shoppers are not sleeping better, return them with no stress.
Since getting these patches I have found that I’ve been having a more restful sleep each night and it’s easier to get out of bed in the morning without constantly hitting snooze. They have a lavender smell to them, which instantly provokes a nostalgic bedtime memory that reminds me of my childhood.
They advise using a different location each night and since they’re waterproof you can pop them on before showering or getting in the bath. Personally I prefer putting them on after getting out of the bath.
They come with a sheet that advises not having caffeine or alcohol before bed, with it stating that caffeine can stay in our system for up to 12 hours. It also points out that blue light can mess up our sleep schedule, which means we should limit our phone use for two hours for bed. I, like so many others, haven’t managed to unplug in that time but I have found my sleep has improved overall.
They’re easy to take off in the morning and I feel well rested. I would definitely recommend these to anyone struggling to drift off – after trying so many things, I never thought I’d be able to find the solution. And at 96p-a-night it’s cheaper than a coffee to wake me up in the morning.
I’m not the only one though. They have an average of 4.42 out of 5 from across 730 reviews. One shopper said: “They really work for me! I’ve slept better than I have for years! Thankyou!”
Although one shopper did find them too effective, complaining that they need to cut them down in size to not be groggy in the morning. They said: “The patches absolutely help me go to sleep much faster, no doubt about that, but they 100% make me groggy in the mornings. I have started cutting them in half, as I am petite and I thought the dose might be too strong for me. I am also taking the patch off if I wake up in the middle of the night to avoid the feeling of grogginess in the morning. It’d be great to have different strengths to account for body weight.”
Another wrote: “It took a few days to take effect, but I’m consistently getting 7/8 hours sleep every night now. Only waking briefly 3 or 4 times a night instead of 20 or 30! Feel less foggy in the mornings and clearer headed throughout the day. Will definitely be buying more and would happily recommend.”
