HITEC has officially announced its 2026 HITEC 100, a landmark recognition that honours 100 technology leaders from all walks of life whose contributions and innovative thinking are actively shaping the future of the worldwide technology sector. The list highlights executives who have made an impact that stretches far beyond their own organisations, creating pathways for underleveraged and progressive talent to thrive.
In a further development, HITEC has announced a considered evolution of its established awards programme, in keeping with its long-standing focus on growth, excellence, and meaningful outcomes. The HITEC 100 award will continue to be guided by the organisation’s Architects of Growth ethos, recognising exceptional leaders whose influence transcends their immediate organisational context. Those selected are directing the course of the industry, delivering innovation at considerable scale, and opening up opportunity through leadership that embraces inclusion and diversity of thought.
This year’s HITEC 100 brings together some of the most esteemed names in technology leadership, drawn from Fortune 100 businesses and large-scale global enterprises, in positions ranging from CEO and CIO to CTO and senior technology leadership roles across a variety of disciplines. The 2026 class captures the true scope and vitality of the technology ecosystem, with representatives spanning numerous industries, parts of the world, and types of organisation.
“I am so proud of the 2026 HITEC 100 honorees—they are at the top of their game and demonstrating what it means to be an Architect of Growth in a global, technology-driven world,” said Miriam Hernandez-Kakol, Chair of the HITEC Board of Directors. “They create collaborative networks rooted in shared values and a culture of excellence. Their leadership shows what it takes to create enduring value across a broader ecosystem.”
“The evolution of the HITEC Awards is informed by extensive engagement with members and stakeholders and reinforces HITEC’s commitment to remaining relevant, inclusive, and impactful,” said HITEC President Omar Duque. “The HITEC 100 represents leadership that goes beyond title or tenure—leadership that influences beyond organizational boundaries and exemplifies innovation, responsibility, and measurable impact,” said Jesus Mantas, Vice-Chair of the HITEC Board of Directors. “By evolving the awards, we are recognizing exceptional leaders from all backgrounds who are advancing technology while intentionally strengthening pathways to growth for the next generation.”
The process by which HITEC 100 honourees are selected is both rigorous and comprehensive, designed to ensure that the recognition genuinely reflects the most impactful leaders across the global technology community. Selection criteria encompass leadership impact, the scope and scale of each individual’s influence, their contribution to innovation and technology, and the extent to which they have shown a genuine commitment to developing future leaders.
