The star spilled the beans on one of her favourite beauty bargains, which normally costs a very un-A-listy £15.95, but right now you can bag it for even cheaper
We’re always interested to hear what Gwyneth Paltrow is using on her skin. The star known to be very careful about natural ingredients and usually sticks to her own range, Goop Beauty. I mean, sure, if you have your own beauty range, of course you’re going to favour it. But unsurprisingly for an A-list brand, the prices are a tiny bit A-listy – you won’t get much change for £100 with their products.
So when, in a recent interview, Gwyneth spilled the beans on a beauty secret of hers that costs less than a tenner, she really caught our attention. The Avengers actress was speaking to InStyle magazine and mentioned that one of her go-to products is Weleda Skin Food, which you can normally pick up for a bargain-tastic price of £9.50. But right now life is even better because you can get your hands on some from LookFantastic for even less – £7.13 to be exact.
Gwynnie is not the only star to love this product, it actually has something akin to cult status, used by make-up artists, celebrities and industry experts. It was created in 1926 – it’s literally 100 years old and it’s still a fashion-and-beauty industry staple. The intensely rich plant based formula is suitable for use on the face and the body – in fact the versatility is probably what makes this product so iconic. You can use it as:
- A face and body moisturiser: for nourishing dry skin
- A make-up primer: a trick loads of make-up artist love for creating a smooth, dewy base
- As an overnight face mask: smooth on a thicker layer for a hydrating treatment
- As a highlighter: just dab a little onto cheekbones
- For hand and cuticles: great to apply as part of a mini manicure, or apply a thicker layer and cover with gloves for an overnight hand mask
- For taming brows: dab a tiny amount onto a brow brush to keep everything in place
- As a frizz-tamer: yes, you can even rub it into your fingertips before smoothing it over hair to keep flyaways in place
If you’re trying out the cream for yourself, start sparingly because a little goes a long way, and according to LookFantastic, it is best applied to the face by gently patting it on, so as to avoid dragging the skin. Elsewhere on the body, you can simply smooth it on gently until the cream is absorbed.
