Match of the Day host Gabby Logan once planned to move her family to France – and their reaction to the news shocked her
Gabby Logan has admitted that her family were completely shocked when she suggested spending a year living in France. The Match of the Day host is based in Buckinghamshire with her husband, former Scotland rugby player Kenny Logan, along with their two children, Reuben and Lois.
They settled there in 2013 after deciding to leave the hectic lifestyle of south-west London. However, after growing up with regular relocations, Gabby eventually began longing for a fresh environment once again. The rest of the household, however, was far less enthusiastic.
“I remember coming down for breakfast once when the kids were about 10 and I said, ‘Guys, I’ve had this really crazy idea but I think it could be really good. Let’s go live in France for a year,'” Gabby, 53, explained on the Second Act with Ateh Jewel podcast.
“[I told them] ‘the kids can learn French and I’ll commute to work.’ And honestly, you’d have thought that I had suggested we all join a commune in Ukraine or something.
