Emily Atack joins the ranks of celebs including Cat Deeley who love wearing this redness-reducing foundation, with it being her pick for doing Rivals season 2 promo
We’re back in Rutshire for the second season of Rivals, which dropped the first three episodes onto Disney+ on Friday, and Emily Atack has been attending press appearances to help promote the new season. She might be fully embracing the 80s beauty looks on the show – big hair and blue mascara, anyone? – but her promo looks have been very different, with Emily embracing a glowy, natural look.
For a recent press appearance, Emily and her makeup artist Lydia Barnes kept her skin looking natural whilst embracing some subtle glam with gold eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip. For Emily’s skin, Lydia used the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation which gives your complexion a your-skin-but-better flawless finish.

The Triclone Skin Tech Foundation (£42) hails from Lady Gaga ’s brand Haus Labs, and is Cat Deeley’s foundation of choice to wear it when she hosts This Morning, making this a firm favourite for celebs. Not only does it do everything you want a good foundation to do – cover blemishes, balance skin tone etc – but it’s also packed with skincare ingredients that help soothe, calm and nourish your skin every time you wear it.
It contains arnica which helps to reduce redness and protect your skin against environmental stress, as well as 20 other skincare ingredients which hydrate, soothe and smooth your skin underneath. The Triclone Skin Tech Foundation has a medium coverage, which helps cover up any unevenness and blemishes, but still has a weightless, gentle feel thanks to its serum-like technology.
This means it sinks seamlessly into your skin with no slipping or caking, and gives that second skin finish that looks completely natural whilst still blurring and smoothing your complexion. It also comes in a huge range of 49 shades, so you should be able to match it perfectly to your skin tone.
A foundation with a similar serum-like finish is the True Skin Serum Foundation from Ilia, which contains niacinamide to smooth skin and allantoin to soothe it. It also blurs and smooths the appearance of skin whilst still looking natural and radiant.
You could also swap for REFY’s Skin Base Skin Tint which is more affordable at £30, and has been created with a Korean beauty-inspired gel texture which cools and hydrates as soon as you apply it. It’s still lightweight and undetectable for all day wear, and contains inclusium and hyaluronic acid to support hydration and skin barrier health.
But the Triclone Skin Tech Foundation isn’t just a favourite of celebs, it’s also been a big hit with shoppers. One said: “Absolutely love this foundation. Glides on like a dream.
Another wrote: “Love how breathable and comfortable this foundation feels. It evens out my skin tone without looking cakey and wears really well throughout the day.”
Whilst a third said: “Doesn’t feel like foundation is sitting on my skin. Blends like a dream.”
Some were less of a fan of the formula, with one writing: “It’s such a shame because the formula is amazing but it oxidises on me so bad! maybe it’s just the shade I picked but it turns so yellow.”
Whilst another agreed: “It could be due to the shade being to dark for me and pulling too warm but I do feel after a while it does start looking heavy on the skin.”
But others loved the Triclone Skin Tech Foundation , with one saying: “This has to be the best foundation on the market! It feels amazing to wear – genuinely feels like you’ve nothing on! Such long wear too.”
