Fire up the grill for some Bank Holiday weekend hosting as Dunelm launches its brand new egg-shaped barbecue and it’s almost £800 cheaper than the iconic Green Egg design
It’s not easy to make a barbecue iconic, but that’s exactly what the Big Green Egg company did when it launched its now-famous dark green egg-shaped grills. However, they’re often more of a wish list item for many thanks to their hefty price tags, which is why we know fans will be racing to snap up Dunelm’s new affordable version.
The Charles Bentley Ottimo Searsmith 13″ Kamado Mini Grill has just launched on the Dunelm website, and it’s priced at just £149 smallest size, which measures 47cm high. You can also shop a medium and a larger version at Dunelm, priced at £599 and £799 respectively with a free-standing design and fold-out side tables.
‘Very comfortable’ Debenhams £330 egg chair that arrives tomorrow is slashed to £90
Pet sprinkler that’s a ‘perfect alternative to a paddling pool’ for the heatwave is now under £20
The smallest version of the Ottimo Searsmith Kamado Mini Grill measures 47cm high and wide, and 46cm deep, and has a standing design which can be placed on outdoor tables or benches for cooking. This compares to the Big Green Egg’s 50cm tall version, which is priced at £925, with the Dunelm version including the the grill body, a stand, a firebox, a heat deflector, a grate and a cooking grill – everything you need to get started.
The Ottimo Searsmith Kamado Mini Grill is also charcoal fired which gives all your food that classic smoky flavour that you love from a BBQ. Its small size means it’s great if you have a modest-sized garden or outdoor space, or even just a patio or balcony.
You can easily move it around, giving you the option of taking it camping or on beach trips. It also won’t take up too much space in your garage or shed in-between uses, making it an ideal space-saving alternative to a large barbecue or grill.
Despite its compact size, the Ottimo Searsmith Kamado Mini Grill can still make enough food to serve one to three people so it’s ideal for smaller gatherings or families. It’s finished in a glossy green ceramic with thick wall which minimises heat loss, meaning you use 50-75% less charcoal compared to traditional BBQs.
Its design is a similar egg-shape, and comes in a light green colourway as a nod to the iconic original Big Green Egg company . You can also snap up a similar design with the Kamado 13″ Ceramic Mini BBQ Grill Smoker Portable Oven at Debenhams, which is now £79.99 down from £249.99 and comes in five different colours.
