A Brit has been left in a coma following a horror accident in Greece as his girlfriend launches an appeal for help.
Brit Ethan was put in an induced coma following an accident on the Greek island of Rhodes on Wednesday night. His girlfriend Olivia Allsopp shared the distressing details in a post shared on GoFundMe.
“He was in an accident last night on our holiday in Rhodes resulting him to be in an induced coma and needs urgent transportation to Athens and then to the UK,” Olivia said. “Any help would be greatly appreciated to help get him the urgent help and support he needs.”
The GoFundMe campaign raised an estimated £5,600 pounds out of a target of £25,000. More than 220 donations have been made since the campaign went live earlier today with the largest single amount being a £500 donation from an anonymous benefactor.

It is unclear how many people were involved in the accident and what specific injuries Ethan sustained in the incident. The Mirror has contacted GoFundMe for comment.
Photos uploaded to the GoFundMe campaign showed Ethan sitting outside in what appeared to be a hotel while smiling at the camera. Another snap showed Ethan and Olivia while they sat in a bar, although it is unclear if this was also on Rhodes.
Travel insurance statistics shared by Brittany Ferries revealed an estimated 4.4 million people sustained an injury while abroad in the past three years. It added 27 per cent of holidaymakers had an accident or witnessed one.
