B&M has launched a new homeware item that could add ‘decorative flair’ to walls
A raft of new furniture and homeware offers have dropped at B&M, kicking off with a striking piece the retailer claims will “add decorative flair to walls”. The budget retailer, which runs more than 700 shops across the UK and Ireland, keeps building on its selection of home accessories and décor at knockdown prices.
The Simply Picture Shelf is up for grabs for a wallet-friendly £10. At W120 x D10 x H4cm, the slimline design could prove perfect for showing off framed photos, candles, small plants and ornamental touches without hogging precious wall space.
“A decorative and practical addition to modern spaces,” states the product description on the B&M website. “This Simply Picture Shelf adds dimension and decorative flair to walls, and can be used to showcase ornaments, pictures, or as a storage solution.”
Boasting a straightforward wooden finish, the shelf taps into the minimalist homeware movement while providing just enough room to exhibit cherished mementoes. Its adaptable design means it could suit living and dining rooms, alongside kitchens, bedrooms or hallway areas.

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for confusing the shelf with pricier and more upmarket options currently available on the high street. Consider the Floating Shelf from B&Q, for example, which carries a substantial £58.41 price tag – nearly six times what the comparable B&M version costs.
The most notable distinction between the two, beyond the price difference, is their dimensions. While the B&Q option measures 70cm in length, the wallet-friendly B&M alternative extends to a considerably larger 120cm.
