The supermarket is selling a garden set that could be compared to a pricier alternative
Aldi shoppers could upgrade their garden this season for just £10. With the return of the warm weather, many families are planning garden parties and outdoor gatherings. But the fun doesn’t have to stop when the sun goes down.
Many supermarkets and high street stores are stocking garden lights so shoppers can enjoy the warm evenings outside. At Aldi, customers can get a pack of four Solar Rock Lights for £9.99. The lights are designed to blend in with gardens, offering a ‘subtle’ yet ‘bright’ effect for summer nights.
The supermarket lights could also be compared to a pricier design from another popular retailer. Aldi’s Solar Rock Lights arguably resemble B&Q’s pack of four Spotlight Garden Path Granite Rocks. But the B&Q set is more expensive, priced at £19.99.
As shown in the product images, both stores are selling garden lighting with a natural look. As the lights are designed to resemble rocks, they won’t draw attention during the day. Yet, they can help to illuminate gardens at night.
For shoppers interested in new lights, Aldi and B&Q both offer product descriptions to help customers when they are considering a purchase. Aldi’s product description says: “Brighten your nights and give your garden a glow up, all powered by the sun! Solar panelled. Up to six hours run time with on/off switch.”
Elsewhere, B&Q’s product description says: “The Smart Garden Granite Rock Super Bright Solar LED Spotlight is a high performance, super bright spotlight. It’s solar powered and, looking like a rock, it naturally fits in, in almost any setting around your home and garden.”
For shoppers looking for something different, there are plenty of other options. For instance, Argos shoppers might like the £15 pack of four Garden by Sainsburys Solar Rock Lights.
The product description says: “The Garden by Sainsbury’s Solar Rock Light Large brings outdoor lighting that blends right into your garden setting. Shaped like natural rocks, this pack of four solar-powered lights switches on automatically at dusk, casting a soft white glow across patios, pathways or tucked between plants.
“The resin and plastic construction keeps them lightweight enough to move around as your garden layout changes. No wiring means you can place them anywhere the sun reaches during the day, perfect for festivals in the garden or family weekends outdoors.”
The description adds: “The rock design sits naturally among garden borders or beside decking, giving you functional lighting that doesn’t stand out during the day. Suitable for balconies, patios or garden beds where you want subtle illumination after dark without the hassle of cables.”
