Suffolk Police said a man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
The force said: “A 50-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, where he currently remains for questioning.”
Two passengers in the car involved in the crash were taken to hospital for a check-up but they are not believed to have sustained any serious injuries, Suffolk Police said.
