The tomato print is perfect for adding some summery fun to your look, with a simple ecru background and multicoloured pattern featuring tomatoes, seashells, suns and abstract prints. You can easily co-ordinate your look by playing up the pink, red and yellow patterns with a red lip, pink trainers or a statement yellow bag making it easy to re-wear over and over again.
Although we love the colours and patterns of the tomato print, the Square Neck Mini Shift Dress also comes in plain black if you want something more neutral to wear. This simple version gives you more flexibility to dress it up or down with your accessories, so you can add pops of colours with a bold bag and heels, or keep it minimalist with simple gold jewellery and ballet flats.
The Square Neck Mini Shift Dress comes in both regular and petite lengths, with sizes six to 18 available in the regular, whilst the petite length comes in sizes four to 20. However the dress is proving popular, with sizes four to 12 currently sold out in the petite length.
It’s made from a 55% linen blend, which means it’s light and breathable so you can wear it even in ultra hot temperatures. The square neckline and broad straps make it flattering on all silhouettes, as does the slightly tailored A-line silhouette which creates a chic silhouette without being too clingy in the heat.
Nobody’s Child has a similar style dress with the Ivory Print Linen-Blend Connie Shift Mini Dress which you can pick up for £79. It comes in several different prints and colourways, and has the same square neckline and fitted silhouette.
Alternatively, the ASOS DESIGN Square Neck Bodycon Mini Sundress is only £28, and comes in 97% cotton rather than linen keeping it breathable and comfortable. There’s a playful abstract strawberry print option, as well as other block colours including red, turquoise and chocolate brown.
However Next shoppers love the Square Neck Mini Shift Dress, with one reviewer saying: “This dress has a lovely fit and I wore it yesterday and had so many compliments about it.” Whilst another agreed: “Bought this for holiday Looks lovely on and love the square neck very flattering.”
A third added: “This is lovely, it’s a tad large on top but it’s so worth it. It looks much nicer than on the website, the colours are lovely and it’s a lovely dress for summer.”
Some found the neckline’s fit a little tricky, with one writing: “I liked the print, and the shift style however it was very slack at the square neck and I felt didn’t sit correctly. Length was good and quality also good.”
