Travellers trying to stick to budget airlines’ strict hand luggage rules are snapping up this compact backpack which fits under plane seats and is on sale for £16
If you’ve got a holiday coming up and have booked with a budget airline like Ryanair or EasyJet, you’re probably now trying to work out how exactly you’re going to comply with their hand luggage rules. Whilst these airlines are great for saving money on your holiday, they come with their own strict set of rules when it comes to luggage, with passengers only being allowed one under-the-seat bag free of charge.
If you don’t want to pay over the odds to upgrade to a cabin bag or checked luggage, it might seem impossible to pack several days worth of clothes into one small backpack. But this Lossga Ryanair Cabin Bag is proving a huge hit with travellers for its deceptively roomy size, which “fits a lot in” whilst still sticking to Ryanair’s tight restrictions.

The Lossga Ryanair Cabin Bag is usually priced at £27.99, but is now on sale for £15.99, giving you a 43% discount which ends on July 26. The backpack has been specially designed to comply with Ryanair’s hand luggage measurements – which are the strictest of all the budget airlines – and measures 40cm x 30cm x 20cm.
Despite being small enough to sit under the plane seats, it has a capacity of 24litres and plenty of storage pockets and compartments which make it easy to pack everything you might need for a few days away. The main compartment is great for clothes and travel essentials, and there’s a front pocket, anti-theft pocket, a laptop sleeve and side pockets, so everything from toiletries to your passports are covered.
And, unlike most backpacks which open at the top, the Lossga Ryanair Cabin Bag fully unzips and opens flat, making it easy to pack and reach your items. It’s also been designed with padded S-shaped shoulder straps and an adjustable chest strap to help more evenly distribute weight while you carry it.
The Lossga bag only comes in a handful of neutral colours, so if you want something a little more colourful and lively, this Metz 20L Underseat Cabin Bag from Cabin Max is ideal. It comes in 19 different colours and patterns, and is currently on sale for £19.95 down from £30.
For something a little more chic, the Blast Travel Backpack from Bagsmart UK can be worn or carried in multiple different ways, with a more sophisticated design and 13 different colourways to choose from. You can customise it with multiple different sizes and capacities, and it’s now on sale for £67.49.
However the Amazon shoppers have praised the Lossga Ryanair Cabin Bag and given it a 4.6 star rating, saying: “Used this for a short Ryan air trip. Amazing bag with loads of compartments. Very comfortable to hold and can take a lot of items. Have used multiple times on day trips since as it has so many pockets/ is super compact. Great bag for a weekend.”
Another shopper stated: “Super handy for flights with hand luggage or just general trips away – Can fit a lot in but still within the sizing for budget airlines. It isn’t amazing quality but it’s great for the cost & seems sturdy enough after a few uses.”
Whilst a third said: “Holds way more than you would expect and the bag if very durable and well made. Perfect for a short trip if you’re only taking hand luggage on a plane as they hold so much. So many pockets and compartments, I love this bag!”
Some were less impressed with the Lossga Ryanair Cabin Bag , however, writing: “It’s a good item but not that sturdy. Some of the seems become a bit stretched and my give up soon if the bag is used frequently. Still good for the price I guess.”
And another agreed: “It was ok size was perfect colour was my choice I was a bit disappointed with the pocket’s but still got a lot of my stuff in happy with that.”
