The supermarket is appealing for help to decide where to prioritise
Ald has published the latest list of locations it wants to open new branches and the chain is calling on the public to help identify the best locations for new stores
The discounter is inviting customers to submit suggestions for where new Aldi stores should be opened. The most requested locations will be reviewed by Aldi’s team as part of the discounter’s commitment to bringing its stores to even more communities.
Aldi is investing over £370 million in new stores this year, as it works towards its long-term target of 1,500 locations nationwide. Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: “We know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live, which is why we’re asking our shoppers to help us identify the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store.
“Opening new stores in these areas means we can bring great value to more customers, while also creating jobs and offering industry-leading pay.”
The supermarket ran a similar initiative last year, which saw locations in London, Merseyside and Oxfordshire recognised as priority locations amongst shoppers. Since then, progress has already been made to bring a new store near to Pendle Drive, Liverpool, and Hanworth and Willesden in London.
To nominate a town or area for consideration, customers are invited to email [email protected] and state the town they would like to put forward in the subject of the email.
Aldi is asking for submissions by Thursday, June 18, 2026, with plans to share the results and unveil the next round of priority locations later this year.
