Ropewalks hotel has shared a statement this evening. It said: “We can confirm that an incident at the hotel has now been safely resolved following the attendance of Merseyside Police and other emergency servies.
“The matter related to a welfare concern involving a guest and our priority throughout has been the safety and wellbeing of the individual concerned, our guests, our team and members of the public.
“We are grateful to Merseyside Police and the emergency services for their professionalism, care and support in bringing the situation to a safe conclusion.”
