If there’s one thing everyone says after meeting Rihanna, it’s that she smells amazing – and we’ve found a list of every perfume she wears on repeat so you can smell ‘like heaven’ too
When you first meet someone, the first thing you notice may be their hair or their shoes. But according to countless celebrities, there’s one thing every single person thinks when they first meet Rihanna – that she smells amazing.
A now-deleted thread on X (formerly Twitter) had compiled a list of all the A-listers who had met Rihanna and had raved about how good she smelled. Jennifer Lawrence said: “She smelled really good” after meeting her, Lil Nas X picked Rihanna as his favourite smell when asked, and described her scent as “heaven”, and even Nigella Lawson couldn’t help but compliment her on how good she smelled when they appeared on Graham Norton’s talk show together.
There’s been plenty of speculation about exactly what perfume it is that Rihanna wears to get all these compliments, so we’ve tracked down some of the fragrances she’s rumoured to wear on repeat.
Zara McDermott’s ‘life saver’ ghd hot brush that makes curls ‘actually stay’ is on sale for under £150
Molly-Mae’s go-to Medicube skincare pads that make skin ‘the best it’s ever been’ are slashed to £15
If there’s one fragrance that’s most commonly associated with Rihana, it’s this one. The Love, Don’t be Shy perfume has been regarded as her signature scent for many years, but it does come with a hefty price tag. 50ml is £225, whilst the 100ml bottles are £355 – although you can buy 100ml refills for £270. It has a warm, floral scent with key notes of orange blossom, vanilla and marshmallow, whilst its amber base lends a touch of earthiness and sensuality.
Back in 2017, Rihanna told Vogue France that one of her everyday perfumes that she never leaves the house with is Gucci Rush. The 90s fragrance has a combination of rich florals and spicy accords, and is actually incredibly affordable at just £34.85 for a 50ml bottle (on sale down from £38.29). It was first launched in 1999 with notes of gardenia, jasmine, Turkish rose and vanilla, making it a fruity, floral scent perfect for every day.
Considering how much speculation there was around Rihanna’s go-to perfume, it was only a matter of time before she launched her Fenty Fragrance back in 2021. The perfume takes inspiration from all of her favourite scents, combining warm-scented notes like magnolia, musk, Bulgarian rose and tangerine, and it’s currently on sale for £52 down from £65 for a 30ml bottle at Boots.
