Now that sandal season is on the horizon, many of us will be booking in a pedicure to keep feet looking fresh, but for those with fungal nail infections getting tootsies into tip-top shape can be a little trickier. Now, Amazon shoppers have been raving about a treatment they say is ‘quick and effortless’ at getting ‘yellowing’ nails sandal season ready.
The Dermavia+ treatment comes in a handy pen design that makes it easy to use – wearers simply need to wash and dry the nail, apply the product using the nifty brush tip and let it dry. Costing £18.99 (was £19.99), the treatment helps to target fungal nail infections, improving yellow or discoloured nails.
It contains a natural formula with essential oils and biotin, and supports stronger and healthier nail growth. The brand says that provided the pen is used consistently, wearers can expect to see improvements in around 2–4 weeks, giving buyers plenty of time to prepare for holiday season.
It seems shoppers have been impressed with the results too if the product’s Amazon reviews are anything to go by. The treatment has amassed a very respectable review score of 4.5 out of five stars from over 600 ratings on the online marketplace, with users praising its effectiveness and ease of use.
One shopper – whose review was translated from French – said a friend had tried the treatment and was impressed with the results, commenting: “Not tested personally (no need) I passed this Dermavia+ treatment to a friend. “The mycosis (which she had happily caught at the pool) is almost gone: the attacked nail gradually regains its initial structure. By following the instructions (light file of the nail before application, treatment with a nail polish-style brush, 5 to 10 minutes of drying time), the results are already very promising.
“From the looks of it, according to him, another good month and everything will be back to “normal” = ready for summer sandals. Of course, the composition of the treatment can also be done by mixing a few essential oils, but the advantage here is to have an affordable product, already done, delivered with the right accessories and, above all, effective. Note: she also used it on a yellowing nail = it also works.”
Elsewhere, Boots is offering the Nailner 2 in 1 Fungal Nail Treatment Brush 5ml for £17.66 (was £26.50). The formula contains a clever ingredient that helps to quickly improve the appearance of an infected nail.
Meanwhile at Holland & Barrett, there’s the Miaderma Fungal Nail Treatment which costs £11. It helps to kill off fungi within 20 seconds and can also help prevent its spread to other nails.
Back to Dermavia+, and someone else raved: “Arrived quickly and packaging was lovely. The brush style pen was the perfect way to treat my nail, no mess no fuss.
“Would happily recommend to anyone. At such a reasonable price I wouldn’t look elsewhere if I had the same problem again.”
It is worth noting that one reviewer felt it took longer than expected to see any results using the brush, commenting: “It works slowly. Was ok, not cleared up though – it’s been a while.”
Despite this, someone else loved that the item is ideal for those with busy lives, writing: “This treatment offers a convenient and easy-to-use method. It works effectively, particularly well for those with busy lifestyles, allowing for quick and effortless application.”
Another commented: “Been using this for about a week now, super easy to use, less messy than creams. You won’t see results overnight but I’m already noticing that my toenail is becoming clearer and the yellowing is fading. Just be consistent with it everyday!”
