In a recent Instagram post with Flymo, Lucy shared some ways to make the task much less arduous so you can get it over with quicker and get your garden ready for relaxing in no time. Lucy said: “Little gardening tips like getting the timing right with your first mow can make such a big difference. It helps your lawn grow stronger and healthier, meaning there’s far less upkeep required and you can just enjoy being in your garden.
“For me, my garden is an extension of my home, especially in the warmer months. When it’s looking lush and healthy, without the need for loads of demanding upkeep, it becomes the perfect place to relax with my partner, entertain our friends and family and of course, have fun with the kids.”
In her Instagram post, Lucy’s tips included:
- Clear away debris like sticks, branches, and crisp packets!
- Avoid mowing wet grass, wait until it’s dry
- Never mow more than a third of the grass blade to avoid scalping
