The Yves Saint Laurent Libre perfume is a vanilla, floral and fruity scent that ‘lasts all day’ and is perfect for summer – and a flash sale has just slashed it from £147 to £110
Just about everyone has a signature scent that they return to time and time again, but it can be fun to switch up your perfume, especially as the seasons change. Although we’re firmly in the midst of summer right now, now is a great time to try a fragrance that not only suits the sunshine but has a little more warmth for heading into autumn – and one such scent is YSL’s Libre.
Libre combines fruity, floral and rich, warm notes together to create a scent that’s feminine, sophisticated and sultry, whilst still bringing a little bit of lightness for the warmer weather. And now, Sephora has dropped the price in its summer sale by as much as 25%, saving you up to £37.

The discount applies to the 50ml, 90ml and 150ml bottles, with each now offered at a different discount. The 50ml has been slashed from £107 to £90.45, whilst the 90ml has the biggest discount of 25% off, bringing it down from £147 to £110.25. Meanwhile, the 150ml has a huge £40 off, making it £143.45, or you could pick up the 30ml for £74.45, or the 100ml refill bottle for £132.
We love the YSL Libre perfume for this time of year, as it not only has a great blend of summer and autumn fragrance notes, but has a luxe edge that makes it great for special occasions – which summer is full of. The top notes are tangerine, neroli, lavender, whilst the heart notes are white musks, tonka bean and vanilla. It finishes with base notes of jasmine sambac and orange blossom for a rich, elevated scent.
If you’re looking for some other great deals, Boots has reduced the YSL Black Opium by a huge 50%, bringing it down from £137 to £68.50, with its coffee and vanilla notes making it something of an icon in the YSL perfume range. You can also get some great deals at The Fragrance Shop, including Dolce & Gabbana’s L’Imperatrice which is now £35 down from £77.50.
However, the YSL Libre perfume has been a long-time hit with fragrance lovers, and is also considered an iconic part of YSL’s collection. One said: “Smells so good! Would highly recommend. You can smell from across room.”
Whilst another reviewer wrote: “I love this product and last all day and this is my 4th bottle.”
A third added: “Cannot go wrong with Libre and Libre intense. Long lasting and unique note.”
As with any perfume, though, the scent won’t be for everyone. One person said: “I love the bottle this comes in. The scent isn’t my favorite. There’s just a little too much musk. But I’m keeping it just to display because the bottle looks so classy.”
Another wrote: “This lasts all day, but not something I reach for. It’s a basic generic enough scent. I can’t really do more than two sprays though. The packaging like all YSL is very luxe.”
But for there’s plenty who do love the YSL Libre scent, with it racking up more than 17000 five star reviews. “Loved this pefume. It is very sophisticated. Really good lasting power,” said one.
