Yankee Candle’s brand new autumn range is full of delicious scents with both Halloween and Christmas-themed candles including my new favourite I’ll be burning all autumn
If there’s one thing I can’t get enough of during autumn, it’s a scented candle. Yes it might be a basic benchmark, but there’s something about it being dark outside, tucked under a blanket and having a deliciously scented candle burning away on the table in front of you.
So imagine my delight when Yankee Candle launched a brand new collection of autumn scents, and a quick sniff test revealed one of them is going to be my new go-to this season. I picked up both the Signature Large Jar Enchanted Orchard and the Signature Large Jar Mystical Tarot Card to add to my autumn candle rotation, both of which are available for £29.99 at Debenhams.

The Enchanted Orchard candle hails from Yankee Candle’s new Fantastical Fall collection, whilst Mystical Tarot Card is a standalone launch that’s landed ready for Halloween next month. Like all Yankee Candles the scents come in a range of sizes, but for me I like to go big with my candles to get the most out of them throughout the season, so I opted for the large jar versions of both.
Both come in a tall glass jar and have a double wick, which is my absolute favourite feature of a candle because it makes sure they burn evenly with no tunnelling. The lid also features a great tight seal which gives you peace of mind for making sure it’s completely snuffed out.
Both candles have a really strong scent without being overpowering, with the Mystical Tarot Card having a mixture of fruity, woody and spicy notes which include mandarin, star anise, cherry leather, cinnamon, tonka bean and vanilla. Personally I found the fruity notes were the strongest, with a subtle spicy undertone that was surprisingly fresh and zesty.
However my absolute favorite of the two is the Enchanted Orchard candle which gave me all the cosy autumn feels I look for in a candle. It has top notes of brown sugar, caramel, praline glaze, nutmeg and pecan, whilst heart notes include sliced apple, harvest peach and pie crust.
The base notes are vanilla, malt, tonka bean and clove, all of which blend together during burn time to create a rich, warm and comforting aroma that really did fill my room. The candles also burnt well and very evenly, and the scent seems to be layered throughout, rather than just in the top portion like some cheaper candles tend to do.
If you can’t quite splurge on one of Yankee Candles’ new scents, some other high street favourites have also launched their own autumn-scented candles which can save you a little money. At H&M, the Large Scented Candle In Glass Holder is £24.99 and comes in both Dark Honey and Ember Vanilla scents.
Meanwhile at Anthropologie, The Gather Candle by Anthropologie: Pumpkin & Sweet Vanilla is priced between £16 and £36 depending on which size you pick up. At Next you can shop a whole range of autumnal candles, including this Orange Autumnal Pumpkin Spice Jar Ginger Chai Candle which comes in a large jar for £12.
Yankee Candle has also launched two other scents in its new Fantastical Fall range, including Glistening Leaves and Golden Pumpkin. Debenhams has also slashed the price of some of last year’s autumn favourites from the brand, and stocks the new advent calendar for 2025, all of which you can shop here.
