Annabel Smith went into a panic as she tried to complete what would normally be a simple task
A woman left her boyfriend in stitches after she tried to lock her front door with a corkscrew following a few pre-concert drinks. Matt Rowling and Annabel Smith were heading out to a Luke Combs tribute night when the mix-up happened.
Matt was already waiting in the taxi while his girlfriend finished getting ready – but when she took a little too long, he decided to give her a gentle nudge. As the 32 year old walked down the driveway, he found Annabel, 30, struggling at the front door.
In the now-viral Ring doorbell clip, she is seen looking flustered as Matt calmly approaches to check what’s taking so long. Startled by his appearance, Annabel blurts out: “F***! F***ing hell.”
Then, in a moment of pure chaos, she confesses: “I just tried locking the door with a corkscrew.” Matt bursts out laughing as Annabel keeps rummaging through her keychain, trying to find the real keys.
The moment was caught outside their home in Leeds, and Matt later captioned the video: “The chaos that is my girlfriend. But I love her, though.”
“It happened while I was waiting in the taxi whilst she was getting ready,” Matt said. “So I had to go and get her.
“We were just going to a Luke Combs tribute night. We’d had a few drinks prior to leaving, so that didn’t help!”
The video has racked up more than 2.4 million views on TikTok, with thousands of fans howling at the pair’s light-hearted banter.
