A woman says she “can’t believe it” after discovering a luxury experience she never knew about at Heathrow Airport recently, which has left her wanting to save up so she can enjoy it again
A travel enthusiast was left stunned after finding “a whole new level of luxury” at Heathrow Airport during her journey.
Jetting off on a getaway is always thrilling and, while many are content with the journey, hours in tight aircraft seats can become gruelling. It’s common to fantasise about lounging in a spacious premium seat, with champagne in hand – particularly for special occasions, an indulgent one-off upgrade seems like a dream.
One woman was astounded to discover there’s an offering at Heathrow where you’re pampered “like royalty”. Having had the privilege to test out this service, she’s now divulging her verdict on whether it’s worth the splurge.
Heathrow brands it as: “A unique and luxurious service – offering a seamless and memorable journey through Heathrow. Private, personal and exclusive, this is the ultimate airport experience.” But brace yourself – the opulence comes with a significant cost.
The exclusive Windsor Suite at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 puts you out around £3,812 for three people. As well as getting a convenient pickup from your home to the airport, you also get the luxury of your own suite, evading the busy airport crowds.
On TikTok, @maybetamsin marvelled: “Turns out there’s a whole new level of luxury at Heathrow. Did anyone else know about the Windsor Suite or is it just me who had no clue? Thank you Heathrow VIP.
“Until recently, I just thought the Concorde Room was the pinnacle of luxury at Heathrow, turns out it’s not. There’s apparently something called the Windsor Suite which I’m trying for the first time today.”
Tamsin revealed she was jetting off to Ghana for her best friend’s wedding alongside her husband. Overwhelmed by the opulence, Tamsin gushed: “This experience is more than just good. This experience is everything a taurus wants when they travel. The service was originally built for VIPs and royals.”
Detailing her itinerary, she shared: “We had a driver pick us up from our house, take us straight to the Windsor Suite, which is a separate terminal off T5. The minute I arrived, I was greeted by a very nice man in a top hat who took away my suitcases. They take your passports and they deal with the whole check in and boarding process for you.
“You’re then escorted to your own, private lounge where at a touch of a button, somebody just appears and does stuff for you. Jason Atherton does the full menu and you can order as much food and drink as you like.”
Another added: “Who knew there was a whole new level of luxury at Heathrow? Was anyone else aware of the Windsor Suite or am I the only one who was clueless? Thank you, Heathrow VIP!”
The shopping experience also left Tamsin in awe. She said all she did was press a button and a personal shopper materialised. She elaborated: “She took us down some private routes so we could go shopping without having to deal with too many people.”
She recounted that, before boarding the aircraft, she and her spouse experienced an exclusive security spot in the terminal and were then chauffeured straight to the plane. At the plane’s entrance, they whisked past a line of waiting passengers and didn’t have to lug their bags.
“At one point we forgot we were in an airport,” she admitted. “I did feel really bad because the queue was huge, but it’s part of the process. “God, so jealous,” one person envied. Someone else yearned: “This. This is the level of rich I want to be.”
Another exclaimed: “The top hat and tails is wild England is a crazy place.” A different comment read: “Babe, this is luxe.”
Tasmin, clearly overwhelmed by the experience, reflected: “I really need to get my money up, I can’t believe people live like this.”
