A woman has been killed in a road crash involving a livestock truck at a farmers auction market.
The tragedy unfolded when he truck struck the woman outside Bentham and District Farmer’s Auction at 10.15am on Wednesday. The 74-year-old woman sadly died at the scene.
Police were called to the scene in High Bentham, North Yorkshire, and the driver of a red Scania lorry – a 48-year-old man from the Ryedale district, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
