Wilko shoppers will be able to pick up their click-and-collect orders from their local Wilko store, alongside its collection partner The Range – in total there are 200 collection points across the country
Wilko’s click-and-collect service has returned and is available from 200 collection points from today.
The retailer announced today that product orders can now be collected, free of charge, from collection points across the country. Shoppers will be able to pick up orders made from the Wilko website after two hours – depending on the collection point’s opening times.
Wilko shoppers will be able to pick up items from their local Wilko store, alongside its collection partner The Range – in total there are 200 collection points across the country. The click-and-collect scheme was trialled in Exeter, Luton and Plymouth and will continue to be rolled out as more Wiko stores open. Recently, new stores opened in St Albans and Rotherham with more stores planned to open over the rest of the year.
CEO of CDS Superstores, trading as Wilko, Alex Simpkin said; “We’re getting great feedback as we reopen Wilko stores as part of our ongoing rollout programme. We’re also getting lots of requests from loyal customers asking when their town or city will be next. This latest addition to Wilko.com means we can make products available immediately in over 200 new locations so busy customers and their families can easily get the things they need for their home and garden jobs.”
The new click and service comes as Wilko launches a tool and equipment hire service. Coined “Wilkohire” the service allows both professionals and home DIYers to rent equipment for a range of jobs including gardening and landscaping, cleaning, painting and decorating, drilling and breaking, sawing and cutting, and even mowing.
The service, operated in partnership with easyToolhire, was set live earlier this month and to hire equipment all DIYers need to do is visit wilkotoolhire.com and select the tools they require and the dates they need them for. The tools or equipment selected are then delivered to the home or site for use and collected once the job is done. This is the first time the retailer has offered a specialist equipment-hiring service and is part of the retailer’s new development plan since it relaunched in autumn 2023.
Last summer Wilko collapsed into administration with 400 stores forced to close. However, in December 2023, the Wilko name officially returned to the high street after CDS Superstores, which trades at The Range, bought the brand name.
