The Kärcher K 3 Horizontal pressure washer is currently available from Amazon for £64.99, down from £119.99. The set includes the pressure washer, a high-pressure gun, a 4m high-pressure hose, a spray lance and a dirt blaster.

Listed as an Amazon’s Choice product, more than 400 have been bought in the past month. It weighs 4.78kg and can be carried around comfortably using the built-in handle, and the gun and hose can be connected quickly thanks to the Quick Connect system.

Or at Currys, there’s the BOSCH EasyAquatak 110 Pressure Washer – 110 bar for £74.99. The site says it has three nozzles to choose from and, with its 110-bar of cleaning power, tackling the car, household or garden furniture is ‘hassle-free’.

Shoppers have left an overall average rating of 4.5 out of five from nearly 500 reviews for the Kärcher K 3 Horizontal pressure washer on Amazon. One said: “Excellent pressure washer! Very powerful and efficient, easily removes dirt and grime from driveways, patios, and vehicles. Easy to assemble and use, with adjustable pressure settings for different tasks. Compact and sturdy design makes storage simple. Highly recommend for home cleaning projects!”

A second person said as part of a longer review: “Overall, I’m happy with this. It’s small, but powerful. Does exactly what I need for cleaning the car and I even managed to blast the slabs which turned out great!”
