The trousers have been branded ‘easy to wear’ and the ‘best fitting’
Shoppers have been keen to take advantage of sales at Uniqlo as a bestselling pair of trousers is now reduced. The Japanese clothing brand is known for its stylish yet comfortable items.
One of its most popular items is the Stretch Easy Ankle Trousers, which are unisex. The trousers are usually £24.90, but the pink style is currently down to £19.90.
They are described as being a regular fit with a tapered silhouette and pockets. The trousers, which come in XS to 3XL, are made of 97% cotton and 3% elastane and feature an elasticated waist with a tie.
Many shoppers who have tried the trousers have left positive reviews. One said: “Best fitting ever, comfortable, best looking trouser.”
Another added: “Trousers were extremely comfortable and soft. Fit nicely and were highly complimented.”
Someone else commented: “Great comfortable trousers, I have them in four different colours, easy to wear and suit lots of occasions.”
A fourth said: “These trousers are stylish and so comfortable. They are a staple in my wardrobe.”
Despite the positive reviews, some shoppers found the trousers to be too short for them. One said: “Too short for my taste, even though it’s ankle-length.”
While someone else found the trousers can stain over time. They wrote: “Great trousers, I own multiple pairs in different colours and wear them multiple times a week.
“My only gripe is my phone leaves a heat mark of some sort in the pocket, especially when I’m at work, which unfortunately ruins the trousers over time.”
The pink style is currently reduced, but shoppers can also select from olive, dark grey, black and beige if they pay full price. Uniqlo also offers customers the ability to alter the trousers by changing the inseam length.
If you select visible stitch, the alteration is free for trousers that are priced £19.90 and over or it costs £3 if the item is under £19.90. A blind stitch is £3 for any price of trouser.
Other high street stores also sell elasticated tapered trousers. Asos has ASOS DESIGN Oversized Tapered Trousers with Pleat for men.
These come in grey, tan or black. The trousers were originally priced at £32, but are now down to as low as £22.50, depending on the colour.
For women, Next has Pull On Tapered Trousers With Linen for £20. These are stocked in sizes four to 20 and come in black and navy blue. A palm tree pattern and blue and white stripe style is available for £22.
