The winter misery is set to continue as weather maps show when the whole nation could be covered in snow as weather warnings have been issued for three days in a row
Brits are set to be in store for a cold and snowy weekend as the country could be blanketed by the white stuff.
Weather warnings have been issued for huge parts of the UK for snow and ice as people have been told to prepare and stay safe. Weather maps have revealed exactly when these flurries are expected to fall as the whole country could be hit by snow, in a wintery few days.
Although weather warnings have been issued for many parts of the UK from today, there is just one day when the whole nation could get blanketed.

Forecasters at WX Charts have predicted all parts of the country will experience snow on Sunday. Weather maps at midnight on Sunday show a huge wall of snow stretchy from the top of Scotland all the way down to the southern coast of England.
At this time, major cities like London, Manchester and Glasgow could see snow. A section of the east of England, which includes Essex, Norwich and part of Kent, will miss out on the flurries.
The snow will carry on at 3am with parts of the nation like Belfast, Birmingham and most of Wales getting around 2-4 inches of snow depth at that time. By 6am parts of Norfolk will eventually start to see snowfall while snow builds up to around 4 inches in Manchester and London.
Forecasters have predicted that by 9am the overnight snowfall could start to build up across most of the nation with Scotland, Wales, Norther Ireland and parts of northern and eastern England seeing 2-4 inches of snow on the ground. The flurries are predicted to stop across most of England by midday, but maps show snowfall continuing across Scotland and parts of Wales and Northern Ireland.
Weather warnings have been issued across most of the nation from Friday until Sunday. The Met Office has put out yellow ice warnings for most of England and Northern Ireland for Friday. It also issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice across the Highlands and North East England.
Weather warnings have been issues in 59 areas for snow and ice on Saturday. The Met Office has told drivers to keep a set of emergency items in their vehicles in case they break down or become trapped in adverse conditions.
Another yellow weather warning is in place across Scotland and parts of northern England, including Newcastle, Manchester and Sheffield on Sunday. Looking ahead to the weekend, the Met Office forecast for Saturday reads: “After a frosty, locally icy start, Saturday will be largely dry with plenty of sunshine, and light winds. However, clou dand rain arriving in the west later, with winds freshening.”
The outcast for Sunday to Tuesday reads: “Wind and rain, with some snow, clearing to brighter skies and showers on Sunday. Turning milder. Sunshine, showers and brisk winds on Monday. Rain arriving in the south on Tuesday.”
