A professional staffing provider for health and social care, has entered voluntary liquidation after being unable to pay its debts
A UK care home provider has collapsed into liquidation after failing to meet its financial obligations.
CMS Care Service Limited, formerly known as GHS Clinical Limited, appointed liquidators on March, 30 2026.
The firm had been operating since 2021 and is headquartered in Bournemouth.
The Dorset -based company was a professional staffing provider of health and social care to adults and children with disabilities and/or requiring 24/7 care support services.
An official notice in the London Gazette, the UK’s official publication for insolvencies, confirmed that CMS Care Service Limited entered Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation (CVL) at the end of March, reports the Express.
At a general meeting, duly convened and held at Wilson House, Office 104, 2 Lorne Park Road in Bournemouth on March 30 the following resolutions were passed: “That the Company be wound up voluntarily and that Alexander Kinninmonth (IP No. 9019) and James Prior (IP No. 29250) both of FRP Advisory Trading Limited, 3rd Floor, 2 Charlotte Place, Southampton, SO14 0TB be and are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding up and that anything required or authorised to be done by the Liquidators be done by both or either of them.”
The care firm was handed a compulsory strike-off on December 9, 2025 for non-compliance. This may have been the result of failing to file accounts, missing annual returns, or neglecting to settle penalties.
CMS’s outstanding debt figure is not currently in the public domain. However, Companies House records show that no accounts have been filed since May, 31 2024.
The firm specialised in supplying healthcare professionals to those requiring assistance. Its website reads: “CMS Clinical is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of the community by embracing diversity and promoting equality and inclusion for vulnerable individuals. ‘Safety and Service first’ is our motto delivered by highly qualified, compliant, and experienced healthcare professionals.”
Two creditors have since been appointed — Alexander Kinninmonth and James Prior, both of FRP Advisory Trading Limited.
