The corset-topped design might just be the wedding guest dress of the summer after twoguests chose it for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s big day

When it comes to the two stars of the show, details are still agonisingly sparse in relation to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. But what we do know is what many of the guests turned up in, and one dress in particular has really caused a stir – because it looks like two guests both chose to wear it for the wedding of the year.

Turning up in the same outfit as another guest might sound like a nightmare to a lot of us, but in their defence, there were rumoured to be around 1000 people at the event, so the chances of a little doubling up was always going to be pretty high. The dress was spotted on Tay-Tay’s childhood BFF Abigail Anderson Berard and Laura Kruk, fiancée of NFL star JuJu Smith-Schuster.

And we can absolutely see why it was such a favourite! The dress, a Sau Lee Frances gown is still available to purchase (it’s going fast though!), and it’s is exactly the sort of style that explains why two wedding guests might both fall for it. It features a fitted strapless corset bodice with delicate floral embroidery and a flattering V silhouette, then falls into a dramatic chocolate-brown floor-length skirt.

At £720, it is still firmly in the “investment buy” category, though it’s actually a lot less terrifying than we might have expected from such an all-star guest list (we bet there were plenty of dresses that pipped £1000). It also has all the hallmarks of a standout wedding guest dress: romantic detailing, a flattering structured top and a full glossy skirt that looks made for dancing.

Abigail is Taylor’s best friend from back when the two were kids, and fans, know as the Abigail mentioned in Taylor’s song Fifteen. Their closeness made us ponder in the first instance if the choice was actually part of a bridal part match (and what a great bridesmaid choice it would have been) but reports are that Taylor didn’t have bridesmaids, instead choosing her brother Austin as her ‘man of honour’.

No chance of anyone matching the bride of course, with the singer reported to have worn custom Dior couture by Jonathan Anderson. We’re most excited to find out if Taylor bucked tradition and stuck to her trademark red lipstick, Pat McGrath Labs LiquiLust Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick, £32.
