Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are both in Washington DC today to attend the funeral of Republican US Senator Lindsey Graham, who died earlier this month aged 71.
Graham lobbied for additional US military assistance to Ukraine and was an outspoken supporter of Israel’s war on Gaza.
“I’ll stand with Israel until the day I die. It is our greatest ally,” he told The Jerusalem Post several months ago.
A tribute ceremony for Graham will also be held at 10am ET (3pm BST) at the US Capitol.
The main funeral service will take place at 2pm ET (7pm BST) at Washington National Cathedral.
Vice-President JD Vance will deliver remarks at the first ceremony, while President Donald Trump will do so at the funeral service.
