Thanks to its solid stick formula, it can be used on the go and easily packed in your travel bag, and just needs to be applied directly onto clean, dry skin. You can use it up to twice daily on any area that needs treatment, and it’s suitable for use on more delicate areas like your underarms and bikini line (although these areas should only have it applied once a day).
The Exfoliating Body Stick combines 7% glycolic acid, which helps exfoliate dead skin cells to smooth and reduce texture, with salicylic acid, which unclogs pores to reduce breakouts and ingrown hairs. To help soothe and nourish skin, the stick also contains shea butter which hydrates and calms skin at the same time.
Results are said to be visible in as little as seven days with regular use, making it perfect for some pre-holiday prep or just to get your skin looking and feeling its best for summer. You can use the Exfoliating Body Stick for all kinds of issues, including KP bumps, ingrown hair, breakouts and acne, rough elbows and knees, dry and cracked heels, and even discolouration on your underarms and bikini line.
If you’re not a fan of the stick formula, The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner is in liquid form and can applied to your body either directly or with a cotton pad – and costs just £8. Alternatively, Naturium’s The Smoother Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash is only £7 for a 100ml bottle, and makes it easier to incorporate it into your everyday shower routine for a more gentle exfoliation.
However, Amazon shoppers have praised the Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Body Stick from The Inkey List, with one saying: “Only used this a couple of times, but overnight use on legs and arms gives smooth, clear skin next day. Very good.”
Another added: “I bought this when it was heavily discounted and I thought I’d give it a try on my chest to target some hyperpigmentation from an old spot. After a couple weeks I’ve noticed it has DRAMATICALLY faded the stretchy marks on my chest. I’m honestly shocked and impressed by the difference. I’ve tried many things for stretch marks and never seen a noticeable improvement. Genuinely so impressed.”
Some found the formula a little tricky, with one saying: “It’s my 2nd time purchasing this product as it seems to do a decent job at clearing bacne but there’s so little product and it’s sticky so i’ll take off 1 star.”
With someone else agreeing: “Nice product but doesn’t last long. Used it about a dozen times on lower legs and upper arms and it’s ran out. Liquid may be more efficient IMO.”
