A “beloved family man” man has been found dead inside a caravan parked in a layby in Loughborough as police launched a murder investigation.
Ashley Menzel, 42, was discovered in the caravan on the A6 Derby Road on Monday, July 6.
Two men, aged 56 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of murder and remain on bail while detectives continue their enquiries.
Leicestershire Police said: “An investigation into his death was launched by the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) and further enquiries established he had been involved in an altercation in the days leading up to being located.”
