Tech writer Jake Hackney has hand-picked his favourite Black Friday deals from Sky and Virgin Media, with hundreds of pounds in savings up for grabs across their TV, Netflix and broadband packages.

Sky and Virgin Media have kicked off their Black Friday 2025 sales with huge discounts on their TV and broadband bundles. Both providers launched their rival sales on Thursday (November 6) and I’ve spent the last few days comparing them side by side to see what’s what.

Sky’s Black Friday sale has seen a selection of TV, Netflix and broadband bundles hit their ‘lowest ever price’, with savings on Sky Sports and Sky Cinema packages too. There’s also a way to bag a Sky Glass smart TV for £3.

Virgin is giving away three months free with its own TV and broadband packages, offering savings of more than £200 on select plans and ‘blazing-fast’ internet speeds up to 1,130Mbps. There’s a choice of at least 20 deals to choose from in the Sky and Virgin Black Friday sales, so I’ve hand-picked a handful of my favourites.

With that, here’s the best Black Friday deals from Sky and Virgin Media.

Sky’s ‘lowest ever price’ TV and broadband

Sky Ultimate TV, Netflix & Full Fibre 500

£44

£39

Sky

Sky has slashed its Ultimate TV and Full Fibre 500 bundle for Black Friday, providing more than 140 channels including Sky Atlantic, Netflix, Discovery+ and 500Mbps broadband for their lowest ever price.

Sky’s Black Friday sale has seen price cuts across its TV and broadband range, but one that stands out is the Ultimate TV and 500Mbps Full Fibre Broadband bundle. It’s reduced from £44 to £39 per month, which is the ‘lowest ever price’ for more than 140 channels, Netflix, Discovery+ and 500Mbps broadband.

The discount represents a total saving of £120 over the 24-month term, with customers also able to select add-ons like Sky Sports or upgrade to faster broadband speeds up to 900Mbps. Sky also offers the cheaper Essential TV and 500Mbps Full Fibre Broadband bundle for £35 (was £40), which boasts all the same benefits but with 35 fewer channels.

One caveat to these deals is that Sky will increase its prices each April, meaning customers will see their bills rise at least twice over the next two years.

Three months free TV and broadband

Virgin Media’s three months free deal

from £36.99

Virgin Media

Virgin Media is giving away three months free TV and broadband plus up to £200 to cover switching costs for Black Friday.

Virgin Media is giving away three months free with its TV and broadband bundles, which include hundreds of TV channels and choices of Sky Sports, Sky Cinema, Netflix and more. It’s also cut its prices across the board, with savings of more than £200 up for grabs.

Sports fans could go for the £56.99 Sport bundle, which comes with more than 200 channels including eight from Sky Sports, plus Netflix and 362Mbps broadband. Movie buffs may prefer the £46.99 Cinema bundle, which swaps Sky Sports for Sky Cinema.

However, the £70.99 Sport + Cinema bundle offers the best of both worlds while also boosting internet speeds to a whopping 1,130Mbps. To sweeten the deal, Virgin will also pay up to £200 to cover switching costs, which comes in the form of a bill credit.

Remember that Virgin will increase its prices each year too, with the Sport + Cinema bundle rising to £74.99 from April 2026 and £78.99 from April 2027.

Get a Sky Glass smart TV for £3

It’s not very often one can bag a smart TV for £3, but that’s what’s up for grabs this Black Friday. It’s available when spreading the cost with a monthly Sky Glass package, with both the Sky Glass Air and Sky Glass Gen 2 included in the sale.

Prices for each model are down to £3 and £11 respectively, reduced from the usual £6 and £14. However, there are some caveats to the deal, which is only available to existing Sky customers.

Also, to get the discounted rate, customers must sign up for Sky Sports (£20), Sky Cinema (£10) or half-price Sky Whole Home (£7.50). Sky Glass is the provider’s own 4K Ultra HD smart TV that’s designed with Sky TV and streaming apps built in, allowing viewers to watch live and on-demand TV over WiFi without a satellite dish or even a Sky box.

It works in a similar way to Freely TVs like the 50” Hisense 4K UHD Freely TV AI TV (£269), but provides Sky channels too. New customers can secure a Sky Glass deal too, but it’s more pricey with the best option coming in at £39 for the Sky Glass Air, Essential TV and Full Fibre 500 bundle.

Battle of the broadband

Both Sky and Virgin are offering price cuts across their broadband packages, with speeds up to a whopping 1,130Mbps up for grabs. Sky has reduced its entry-level 150Mbps Full Fibre Broadband to its cheapest price ever of £25 per month, down from £27.

Faster options include 300Mbps for £28 and 500Mbps for £29, but for us, Virgin’s Black Friday deals come out on top. That’s because Virgin is offering faster speeds for a similar price, with its M250 Fibre Broadband (264Mbps) now £24.99 and free for three months.

This represents a £74.97 saving, but Virgin isn’t available everywhere, so customers should check availability in their area on the Virgin website. It’s also worth considering investing a little extra, as Virgin’s fastest Gig1 Fibre Broadband (1,130Mbps) now comes in at £29.99 and comes with a free Netflix subscription too.

All these prices are also subject to an annual price rise, so ensure that’s factored into any decision making before committing to a 24-month contract.
