The £34 serum from Champo is clinically proven to reduce hair loss and shedding
The dry air and indoor heating mean hair loss is common at this time of year, but beauty expert Keeks Reid recently appeared on this morning to share tips for helping locks grow, including which products to use. Our beauty team weren’t at all surprised when a bestseller from natural haircare brand Champo appeared in Keeks’ top buys for hair growth.
Thankfully, the 30ml bottle of Pitta Growth Serum is still available to buy on Champo’s website. If beauty fans are wondering why the treatment is so popular, it aims to reduce hair loss and shedding ‘within 12 weeks of daily use’.
A clinically proven product, the serum uses caffeine, tetrapeptides and ayurvedic haritaki extract to help volumise roots, while stimulating the scalp for ‘fuller, stronger hair’. The brand claims that one bottle is sold every 30 seconds and 90% of users have reported that they had less hair loss.
The beauty expert shared 10 other products that are designed to help hair grow. These include the Manta Original Anti-Breakage Hairbrush, which comes in five colours for £30 on Amazon.
Another item Keeks recommended for a longer mane was the Umberto Giannini Rosemary Oil from LookFantastic (£7.46, was £9.95) which is said to visibly repair and protect locks from further damage. For those who want to try out similar haircare buys, the beauty expert also mentioned Fable & Mane’s HoliRoots Hair Oil which is priced from £15 on Cult Beauty, and the Aveda Invati Ultra Scalp Serum which comes in a 30ml size at Sephora, but can also be purchased in a 150ml bottle for £51 (was £60) on lookfantastic.com.

I personally love Kerastase’s £44.20 Genesis Hair Serum which can be snapped up with 15% off at LookFantastic. The product is designed to target ‘weak strands’ and minmise the risk of breakage.
Back to Champo, it appears that Keeks isn’t the only one loving the Pitta Growth Serum. The item has been awarded an average score of 4.6 out of five stars, with hundreds of shoppers leaving it rave reviews.
One delighted buyer said: “This is a miracle hair growth serum. I’ve just seen some photos of my hair from only a few months ago and I can’t believe how much better it looks now, from then. Thicker, softer and healthier, with re-growth around the front hair line/fringe and temples, which makes it fall better at the sides with no gaps. Please don’t ever stop making this.”
However, it might be worth noting the serum didn’t work for everyone, with one shopper saying: “To be honest, the serum did not meet my expectations. I liked the packaging and it felt high-quality. It spreads well on the scalp and doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy. Unfortunately, there is no effect (no noticeable increase in volume or growth of new hair). I have been testing the serum for two months now and will not be buying it again.”
Yet, someone else left a glowing review: “As someone who was getting really down about hair thinning/hair loss, I’m so pleased I gave this serum a go. I can’t believe the difference it’s made in a few months. I also love how it’s truly non-greasy, so I can use it daily. I started using the shampoo and conditioner last month too and also noticing much less fall out now.”
