The Range has released a new collection in stores — and shoppers can’t agree whether to celebrate or condemn the items

Customers visiting The Range remain divided over several ‘ridiculous’ products currently stocked in branches. The retailer is renowned as a comprehensive destination for home furnishings, from linen, drapes and cushions to furniture and wallcoverings.

Numerous outlets also stock electronics and household appliances, establishing them as an essential shop during property refurbishment projects. Another trademark of these shops is their elaborate seasonal presentations, particularly during the festive period, when substantial sections resemble Father Christmas’s workshop.

However, the retailer has faced criticism following the publication of several photographs showcasing their latest merchandise on Facebook, with certain customers struggling to comprehend what they encountered in the post.

The Range unveils Autumn 2026 collection in June

The photographs, published on June 28 2026, revealed that the company had launched their fresh autumn assortment in selected branches. The presentation featured numerous orange and burgundy floral displays, scented reed diffusers, and bedlinen.

Additionally, there were orange cushions bearing ‘hello autumn’ stitching on the surface alongside numerous wicker containers for cushions, throws and children’s playthings.

The accompanying post stated: “The secret’s out… CODE ORANGE.

“Autumn has started arriving in store! Yes, it’s only June… but we know many of you love to shop early and spread the cost..

“If these first finds are anything to go by… you’re going to LOVE what’s coming. Run, don’t walk to your local The Range!” Certain The Range customers yearn for cooler days.

Customers couldn’t fathom the retailer’s choice to usher in autumn a full three months ahead of the season begining.

One individual remarked: “Omg are you having a laugh its only June. Still summer.”

Another stated: “Get lost! You’re having a laugh it’s June for goodness sake.”

A third commented: “Can’t find a fan but can find a cosy blanket and a fluffy pillow.”

A fourth declared: “Have a word it’s literally flaming June!”

Others, though, appeared delighted by the announcement – with numerous shoppers eager to bid farewell to the sweltering conditions the UK has experienced during the past week.

One individual remarked: “I’ve never been more excited for autumn.”

Another stated: “Well I absolutely love autumn. It can’t come quick enough!”.

A third declared: “Yess! Can’t wait for autumn had enough of the summer”.
