Tesco has revealed that more than half a million shoppers have more than £100 in unused Clubcard vouchers.
There are also more than 95,000 shoppers with £200 or more sitting in their Clubcard account. You can triple the value of your Clubcard vouchers by exchanging them with a Tesco Reward Partner, such as PizzaExpress, Prezzo and Las Iguanas.
More than 24 million UK households have a Tesco Clubcard. You can check your Clubcard vouchers by logging into your Tesco account online.
Tesco shoppers get one Clubcard point for every £1 you spend in stores, or one point for every two litres of fuel purchased at a Tesco forecourt.
You can also collect points through Tesco Bank and Tesco Mobile as well. For example, you get five points for every £4 spent using a Clubcard Credit Card at Tesco, or one point for every £8 spent elsewhere.
Tesco Mobile customers earn one Clubcard point for every £1 spent on pay monthly bills or top-ups. You need a minimum of 150 points to get a Clubcard voucher, which will be worth £1.50 to spend in Tesco.
Tesco Group Membership & Loyalty Director Shama Wilson said: “It’s easy to focus on Clubcard Prices and the great value that Clubcard delivers on your shopping and not notice the points and vouchers mounting up.
“If you really want to make the most of your Clubcard then check how many vouchers you are sitting on – you could be missing out on big savings on holidays, meals out or days out, or even the chance to get Disney+, cinema tickets or magazine subscriptions without spending a penny.
“With more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners to choose from there really is something for everyone, so do check your vouchers, as you could be sitting on a real treat for you and your family.”
It comes after Tesco announced a version of its Tesco Clubcard for 16 and 17-year-olds. Tesco Clubcard is normally only available to people over the age of 18. The new digital Clubcard for 16-17s is only available through the Tesco app or website.
But to sign up, the teenager must be invited to join from the Clubcard account of a parent or guardian.
The parent or guardian will have to click on their account settings, then “Invite to Clubcard” and choose the option to send a sign-up link to their 16 or 17-year-old.
