Police are investigating after the tragic discovery of the body of a teen girl in her university halls of residence
Police are investigating after the body of a teenage student was found at her university halls of residence.
Lancashire Police said the student had tragically been found dead inside Ribble Hall, at the University of Lancashire campus.
Officers attended the scene at the halls on Victoria Street after reports of a sudden death, LancsLive reports.
Officers said they were alerted at 1.15pm yesterday (February 5) and sadly found the body of a woman in her late teens inside the address.
Enquiries into her death are ongoing.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.15pm yesterday to an address in Victoria Street, Preston, to a report of a sudden death.
“Officers attended and very sadly the body of a woman in her late teens was found inside the address. Our thoughts are with her family at this distressing time.
“Our enquiries into the death are ongoing.”
