The Stanley Cross Bottle has already gone viral in America with shoppers hailing it a ‘must buy’ for busy mums, and now it’s finally available in the UK in three different colours
There’s one accessory everyone has been coveting this year, and it’s not a handbag, a pair of earrings or even some statement shoes – it’s the Stanley water bottle. Perfect for keeping hydrated on the go, it’s become a sell-out sensation, and it’s latest innovative design is no exception.
The Stanley Cross Bottle, £75, is a hands free way of toting your water bottle around, with an attached strap you can wear over your shoulder. It’s already been a major hit in America after launching there earlier this year, and now its finally landed in the UK just in time for Christmas.

The hands-free design means your must-have Stanley water bottle doubles as a sleek and functional accessory, and means you can instantly access your water without having to carry it in your hands or rummage around in your bag to find it. You can use it for your daily commute, for long walks in the countryside or even in the airport so you still have your hands free for navigating around.
It comes in three of Stanley 1913’s signature shades; rose quartz, cream and black, and has been touted as one of the brand’s most innovative and stylish designs yet. It’s 0.68 litre capacity was carefully chosen to give you plenty of fluids whilst keeping the classic design and making sure it doesn’t become too heavy to carry.
The Stanley Cross Bottle retains all the functions that made the Stanley Quenchers such a big hit. It has a double-wall vacuum and is fully insulated with thermal regulation to keep your drinks cold for longer, promising to keep water cold for 12 hours or iced for two days. It’s also leakproof, so you don’t need to worry about it spilling on your coat whilst you wear it.
Due to its recent UK launch, the UK website currently doesn’t have any reviews of the Stanley Cross Bottle. However the American Stanley website has plenty, with one person saying: “Best purchase ever!! Highly recommend this product. If you’re a big traveler this is a great must have item, if your a busy mom with your hands full this is too a great must have. You can carry your water all day while tending to your children’s every needs. Can’t recommend this enough! I want to buy this in every color!!”
Another added: “My boyfriend bought this for me a week ago, and I’m in love! It’s a great bottle. Keeps my water cold and I can be hands free it also fits in my backpack perfectly!”
With a third agreeing: “I own four of these, and I’m waiting for the holiday color to be released. This is an awesome canteen or water bottle, and I love the straw! It holds just enough, while still being compact. I would love for it to be cheaper, but I am still very happy with my purchases! The color options are great, but I would love to have more options. Especially a darker purple, more like grape.”
However one person wrote: “It’s beautiful, no doubt about it, and the strap is amazing. However…it is HEAVY. Heavy before you fill it and heavier still afterwards. It does keep temp very well, so that’s great.”
If you already have a water bottle but want to adapt it to a similar hands-free design, this HiTotes Quilted Water Bottle Carrier, £23.99, fits most regular-sized water bottles inside to allow you to carry them over your shoulder. It also has a quilted nylon design that mimics the viral quilted bags that have been trending all year.
For a luxury alternative, Dior’s Aqua Bottle with Shoulder Strap will set you back £680 and is made from off-white grained calfskin with a Dior logo-emblazoned stainless steel water bottle inside.
