Stacey Solomon has given fans her secret to preparing vegetables, with her £23 Amazon kitchen gadget the ‘easiest way’ to make her go-to chopped salad lunch in seconds
There’s nothing better than preparing your own food at home, especially when it’s homegrown, but there’s no denying that one of the most time consuming bits of cooking is food prep. That’s why Stacey Solomon’s fans have been racing to snap up her Fullstar Vegetable Chopper from Amazon after she shared it was the “easiest” way to create her homemade chopped salad in minutes.
Posting a picture of her homegrown salad on Instagram, Stacey wrote: “Loads of you have asked for a link to my veg chopper, I really rate it. I have to whack it sometimes, but it’s the easiest way to make a super chopped salad IMO.”
Stacey Solomon’s go-to blender with ‘perfect results’ is now £25 off at Amazon
Ninja cool box that’s perfect for festivals and keeps things chilled for five days now has £70 off
The handheld veg chopper is ideal for dicing up your veggies that you can easily use in anything from salads and stir fries to soups and sandwiches. There’s six different stainless steel blades to choose from which allow you to dice, slice, grate, shred and even julienne your food ready to be whipped up into something tasty.
It’s usually priced at £24.99, but currently Amazon has a pre-Prime Week sale running, which sees the Fullstar Vegetable Chopper slashed to £22.99, which may not be a huge saving but every little counts! You can also upgrade to either a nine-in-one or 10-in-one model, which offers more blades to choose from.
However the six-in-one includes six extra sharp blades like a fine and medium dicer, a grater, a coarse shredder, a julienne blade, and a slicer blade, as well as one cleaning brush, and a finger guard. You simply place the veg on the blade, then close the lid to push it through the slots, chopping it in seconds. It also comes with a 1.2 litre container attached underneath, so everything you chop and slice lands directly into the container, ready to be put into your dish.
If you want something even less hands on, Ninja’s Professional Stackable Chopper is £29.99 and means you don’t need to get your fingers anywhere near the blades; just pop the top on and press down. Meanwhile Lakeland’s Multi Chop is £24.99, with eight different blade settings to choose from.
However the Amazon one that Stacey swears by has gotten glowing reviews from shoppers, with the Fullstar Vegetable Chopper racking up more than 2000 five star reviews. One said: “I have to say — it’s one of the best kitchen tools I’ve used in a while. The blades are super sharp and cut through carrots, zucchini, and even potatoes with ease. It makes meal prep so much faster!”
Another agreed, writing: “Very good item, well made, very easy to use, but the cutters are sharp, I cut my finger carelessly picking up one of them after I’d washed it!”
One did warn: “So far so good, nice for the kitchen easily cleaned. I thought all the tools fitted inside the food catcher but they don’t, if i knew that i would have bought one that did.”
Whilst someone else found: “It is great as a chopper (especially for onion or vegs), but not that great as a grater. It is sharp and you can have perfectly chopped veggies in seconds- it was super useful for preparing Christmas food for more people. However, I find it uncomfortable to use as a grater and I won’t be using it for this purpose.”
But others loved it, saying: “This is really easy to use and helps you make a lovely chopped salad. I’ve bought cheaper ones from elsewhere and the blades haven’t been sharper enough, but no problems here. Easy to clean too.”
