Police have requested anyone who was near the location of the incident around the time it happened, or those with camera footage taken at the time, to come forward
A man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent after a stabbing that has left the victim with serious injuries.
A 36-year-old man was arrested in Penhill, Swindon after the stabbing on Wednesday, December 3, according to Wiltshire Police.
The victim, a 39-year-old man, is being treated for the “serious injuries” in hospital after the knife crime incident, the force say.
“We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident and there is not thought to be any ongoing threat,” Chief Inspector Carly Nesbitt said.
The police chief said that police recognise the concern that this incident has sparked and extra police presence will be in the area over the coming days.
“If you have any concerns or information, please approach our officers,” Nesbitt said.

Police have asked anyone who was near the North Swindon Family Centre in Atworth Close Swindon at about 5.30pm and who may have witnessed the incident to share information.
Anyone with information or camera footage taken from the time has been asked to call 101 quoting log 267 of December 3, or leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
