After what feels like the neverending winter we’ve had, my skin is feeling a little bit dull, lacklustre, and in need of some sun. However, living in the UK, that feels like a rarity to come by, so I instead rely on fake tanners to get the job done. I have a few favourites for my body, but my face is always what I struggle with the most.

I suffered from breakouts when I was younger, and I find it pretty difficult to find a fake tan that doesn’t give me spots and doesn’t cling to patches on my face. Luckily, that all changed when I discovered St Tropez’s Self Tan Purity Face Mist.

To make it even better, this face mist is currently reduced by almost 50% in Amazon’s Spring Sales. Originally priced at £24, this fake tan is now £13 – that’s a huge 46% discount.

So what’s so great about this mist? The list does really go on, but a few of my personal favourites include the fine mist that doesn’t leave splotches on your face, how it doesn’t have that traditional fake tan smell, the streak-free results, and the non-pore-blocking ingredients.

PROS

• Leaves a completely natural-looking, and streak-free glow

CONS

• As the mist comes out so finely, it’s easy to go overboard and use too much

Formulated with hyaluronic acid, hibiscus & green mandarin, this mist acts as a fake tan/skincare hybrid that hydrates and revives the skin, while adding a natural sunkissed glow. Unlike other facial fake tans I’ve tried in the past, this does not block the pores at all, and I’ve not struggled with any breakouts since using it.

The mist also has a lovely, fresh smell, unlike the traditional fake tan smell that lingers all week long.

With over 10,000 reviews and an average 4.4-star rating on Amazon, it seems I’m not the only fan of this product. One reviewer, in particular, praised the lack of skin prep needed before using the tan, writing: “Such a lovely scent and not so much of the biscuit smell you normally get from self-tanning products. The only downside for me, and this is pretty minor, is that due to the fine, lightweight mist, it can be easy to apply too much and end up looking a bit unnatural. It almost feels like you’re not putting anything on when you spray it, which can lead to heavy application.
