With three new colourways of the SnüzPod 5 launching this spring, we review the top-rated bedside crib that the Internet loves
If you’ve started looking into bedside cribs, you’ll know the Internet has hundreds of options, all spanning very different price points, making it hard to narrow down to the exact model that will work for you and your baby.
In your search, you’ll almost certainly have come across the SnüzPod 5, £199.95, which aims to be an aesthetic addition to any bedroom, but with some serious sleeping perks for both the parents and the baby. Here, we review the top-trending model for babies up to 6 months old, promising to be the closest and safest alternative to co-sleeping.
SnüzPod 5 review
Design in a nutshell
Best baby carriers reviewed by a new mum-to-be – including Princess Eugenie’s favourites
- Bedside crib design: Attaches securely to your bed for easy access during the night
- Drop-down side panel: Allows you to reach your baby without getting out of bed
- Breathable mesh windows: Promote airflow and keep your baby visible at all times
- Spacious sleep area: Larger than previous versions for longer use
- Lift-off bassinet: Can be detached and used around the home during the day
- Wheels for mobility: Easy to move between rooms without lifting
- Gentle rocking stand: Optional rocking motion to help soothe
- Adjustable height settings: Designed to fit alongside a range of bed heights
- Supportive mattress included: Firm, flat surface suitable for safe sleep
The drop-down side is the feature most people will be drawn to, making night-time check-ins or feeds less disruptive. You can reach in easily without fully getting out of bed, which, in the early weeks, makes a noticeable difference.
The mesh sides also help here, as they keep the space feeling breathable and open, while allowing you to keep an eye on things without hovering. Alongside that, there are a few practical touches that add to its flexibility. The lift-off bassinet means it can be moved into another room during the day, and the wheels make that process fairly straightforward.
As for the crib’s look, as we say, it’s aesthetically pleasing. You can pick it up in a choice of nine shades, including three new ones for spring 2026: Rouge, Chocolate and Olive. And though it doesn’t feature any under-crib storage, it does have a handy shelf you can use to tidy away bedding or toys.
There are a few things potential shoppers should be aware of. Assembly can take a bit longer than you might expect, particularly if you’re trying to get everything set up quickly. Perhaps just make sure you have enough time (and patience) that day. The instructions said it would take about 30 minutes to build, but we found it was around the hour mark.
The rocking feature is a nice addition in theory, but may not be something everyone ends up using regularly, depending on their setup.
Overall, the SnüzPod 5 feels like a well-rounded option. It covers the essentials very well, is beautifully designed and made, and even though it only gets used for the first six months of your baby’s life, it’s a valuable buy for any new parent looking for a way to improve sleep for themselves and their baby.
